Band Heaters - (Barrel and Nozzle)
Led by the high performance MI Band (mineral insulated) heater, followed
by the patented, flexible THINBAND® heater and the standard mica band
heater. Watlow barrel and nozzle heaters are ideal for every type of plastics
processing equipment.
Cartridge Heaters
The Watlow FIREROD® heater revolutionized the heating element industry
in 1954 when it was patented as the first swaged cartridge heater. With
premium materials and tight manufacturing controls, the FIREROD heater
continues to provide superior heat transfer, uniform temperatures and
resists oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures. Available in a wide
variety of SAE and metric sizes with lead and mounting options, the FIREROD
remains the superior performance heater.
Radiant Heaters
Watlow's diverse RAYMAX® radiant heater line allows solving virtually
any radiant heat application. Performance capabilities cover a wide range
for operating temperature, radiated watt density and contamination and
shock resistance.
Tubular and Process Assembly Heaters
Watlow tubular heating elements and process assemblies are primarily designed
for immersion heating water, oils, viscous materials, solvents, process
solutions, air and gases. Elements are generally assembled onto screw
plugs or flanges for direct immersion, or placed in a heat exchanger to
create a circulation heater. A wide variety of sheath materials match
process substance and operating temperature requirements. WATROD round
tubular elements and FIREBAR® flat tubular elements provide the widest
choice of size, watt density and sheath temperature ranges to meet the
most demanding applications. Depending on element style and sheath
material, operating temperatures vary up to a maximum of 1800°F (980°C)
with maximum watt densities of 120 W/in2 (18.6 W/cm2).
Strip Heaters
Watlow mica and 375 strip heaters are versatile and solve any number of
applications. Bolted or clamped to a flat surface, heat is readily conducted
to tanks, solids and enclosures. The 375 finned strip heater features
enhanced surface area for heating air, drying ovens and space heaters.
Multicell Heaters
The multicell heater, from Watlow Industries, offers extreme high process
temperature capability. Independent heating zones permit application temperature
gradients. Loose-fit design, for easy insertion and removal, heats platens
via radiance.
Thermocouples
For over 80 years, Watlow Gordon has led the thermocouple industry in
research, quality and manufacturing. Tube and wire, mineral insulated,
base metal, noble metal and high performance thermocouples constructed
to ANSI, ASTM and MIL specs cover virtually all thermocouple applications.
Our assembly methods allow us to make over one million thermocouple variations
for same day shipment - five million next day shipment. Available in SAE
and metric sizes.
Single-Loop Temperature & Process
Controllers
Available in 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 DIN panel mount sizes, as well as
DIN rail mount packages. Agency approved Watlow single-loop, auto-tuning
temperature controllers automatically set PID parameters. Manual settings
permit on-off, P, PI, PD or PID control modes. Select models have percent
power mode, data communications and more. All accept a broad range of
standard I/O options. NEMA 4X front panels on 1/8 DIN and smaller controllers.

for Control Confidence.
DIN-A-MITE® SCR Power Controllers
DIN-A-MITE power
controllers provide a convenient
DIN rail and sub-panel mount package in ratings from 24 to 100 amps at
600VAC. Easy to install with touch-safe exteriors, they're ideal,
compact replacements for mercury displacement
relays. Four models match load requirements with 1-phase, 3-phase/2-leg
and 3-phase/3-leg switching.
